Tommy and Shirley Fong, original founders and owners of
the Shanghai Restaurant, are pleased to announce their return to the Fresno restaurant business with the opening of EAST-WEST
CUISINE, located at 690 East Nees Avenue. This new restaurant is the collective effort of his whole family, including his
son David, daughter Marlene, grandaughter Carrie and grandson David Wong. This new restaurant will feature a blend of modern
Chinese wok cooking, internationally influenced appetizers, and a selection of contemporary American comfort foods paired
with award winning wines and spirits. A total of five chefs trained at the Culinary Institute of America and the California
Culinary Academy will be preparing this unique combination of international foods complete with a scrumptuous selection of
desserts and pastries created by our in-house executive pastry chef, Anjelica Rojo.
